I read this book first thanks to Mojorisin2, who sent it to me in "exchange" to "Adventures of a TV Nation", and I loved it, so much that I bought another copy that I will now send to Sardinia...

I received "Stupid White Men" by mail. I heard about it by a friend of mine who lives in London (thanks to YowIyy) and with whom I share my likes and dislikes about books. I just started to read it and, for the moment, I find it absolutely funny but seriously scaring about its revelations.
I don't know yet what I'm going to do after the reading ... I'm thinking to leave it at the local Library ... and then buy another copy of it.

A very funny pamphlet, full of interesting details about American life and troubles. I thank my good friend who send me the book from England.

It was waiting for me next to my home's outside door, like a cat sleeping on the carpet. I let it in and I'm preparing to read it.
I've read it without the dictonary, so I've undestood only the most important things, but that's enough to know in what a terrible situation we are.I thing I'll buy an italian copy so that I can laugh evertytime it is "requested" not only when I understand.
The chapter "The End of Men" is true and I really laugh at it!

You can read this book because it keeps bashing George W. Bush, american politics and society in general. Or you can read it for chapters like "Kill whitey" or "The end of men", plenty of food for thought. Either way it's FUN.

Interesting in parts, but very badly written. Michael Moore is not as funny or as clever as he thinks he is. This is Michael Moore's view of the American Civilization and it is IMVHO so "Moore-ish" that you cannot help liking or detesting it.

But in the meantime I saw his last film and the elections in the USA were not really uplifting ... so I don't think I'll read also the book, and I'll send it the next person in the ring!

arrivato inaspettatamente... non ricordavo assolutamente di essermi iscritto a questo ring, ma dopo due anni mi sento autorizzato all'amnesia. mi seguirà in viaggio, in attesa che mi colga l'ispirazione di leggerlo. e magari di commentarlo in inglese.
