Journal Entry 1 by Dedward from Kingston, Ontario Canada on Monday, March 10, 2003

Susie Moloney is a Canadian author and A Dry Spell, her second novel, was a success. I must say I found it quite gripping even though I'm not that keen on this kind of book. The author has been compared to Stephen King, and I must say with some justification.

This book was an interesting read. I gobbled this book up and pretty much read it straight through in one sitting. The characters were very interesting and I needed to know how the plight of Goodlands would be resolved. Would the town get the rain they desparately needed or would there be more disasters to come? There was enough fantasy to make it an enjoyable read and not too much to make it entirely implausible. A nice diversion!

I found this book on my 29th birthday party at Wasabi (the best sushi restaurant in Ottawa). It has taken me over a year to get to it but I must say it is an interesting read. I am passing the book on to my mother in law who will be instructed to leave it in a public place once she has read it.....Happy reading!!! Natali :) CAUGHT IN OTTAWA ONTARIO CANADA
