Avoid.
I don't normally read 'chick lit' but thought I'd give this a try as it's very popular, I needed an emotional lift (as only a book about widow following orders from her dead husband could achieve) and it was recommended by a friend (some friend). Clumsy plot, awkward dialogue, shallow characters. I can't believe this rubbish was made into a film, and with Hilary Swank, no less. She must be struggling with the rent, poor thing. Unsurprisingly, the film reviews have been pants: Rotten Tomatoes) - something about trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
Plan to release ASAP, possibly on our barbeque. Might also be good as litter tray liner.
...last time I buy a book at Tesco. I should have known. (RE-EDIT - I bought 'The Kite Runner' at Tesco and it was excellent).
