My first Evanovich book. I was impressed.

just received in the mail today- thanks midwestgal! I wanted to read this so badly that I ended up with 2 copies of it!

Janet Evanovich starts this book with a note which tells us that this book was first published in 1989 under a different pen name. She's re-publishing it for the benefit of her fans who have asked to see some of her earlier romance novels. She notes that she has grown a lot as a writer over the years. She also gives credit to a friend who went through this edition with her helping her to expand on the original book.

This book is not as laugh out loud funny as the Stephanie Plum books, but it's amusing and fun. Billie Pearce, the heroine, is different from Stephanie, she's sweet, and perky. Reminds me a lot of Sally Fields.... or Doris Day.

This book is light and fun- In some ways it is a formula romance, but it's very enjoyable anyhow. If she comes out with more books with this character I will read them.

This book is traveling to Germany for a visit with Nikel27.
