TBR - 2008 Award Winning Books - Read and Release Challenge
"Wife for Hire" was pretty good. It was a little bit of an unusual concept, and that made it fun. Good, quick read.

"Wife for Hire" mailed to JennyC1230 today.
Ooops! It's been a few days since I got the book, but I thought I had already done a journal entry. Now I am finished reading it. It's really good! I love Janet Evanovich and her zany characters! It's sort of like Casablanca meets The Three Stooges!
I have NMReader's address and will be sending it on soon!
Mailed to NMReader today! 1st Class Delivery Confirmation #03070020000131431449
Arrived in my mailbox today. Looking forward to reading.
The humor and zaniness that characterize the Stephanie Plum novels are present in this book.
I love the book. It had a wonderful sense of fun and romance.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Dropped at the PO. Enjoy
(aka PaulsBooks)
Thanks for sharing this book!
This was a fun and quick read! Thanks for sharing this book! I will send it on to the next reader!
Just got in the mail today...will read shortly!!!
Updated - Fun read!!!
On it's way to top-tappser...
Rec'd today via the postman.
Cute enough. Not a must read. It felt like I was finally introduced to all the players and it should be the start of a good story and it was already over.
I'll get it in the mail after the holiday as I already have clawdette's address. As she sent me a book a month or so ago and I knew I would need it and saved it.
recieved this today. I am in the middle of another book right now. I will get to this one next.
again the story line was a bit weak but I liked this book better than "Smitten". Released to SazzyMCH today.
Book arrived last week - have been on holiday so just getting around to journalling now. Many thanks - looking forward to reading it.
I enjoyed this - romance isn't usually my thing but with Evanovich's zany nd qurky characters I really liked it. It was a nice light read after some of the heavy stuff I've trawled through recently!
Have pm'd littlemisshugs for her address.
Sorry - forgot to journal that this was posted late last week!
It took me a little while to get into this book. I did enjoy it but found it difficult to not compare it to the Stephanie Plum novels because of the numerous similarites. Consequently I did not fully immerse myself in the world of Wife for Hire and while it was at times amusing I did not find it as funny as the Plum novels.
Posted to Plum-crazy yesterday.
Just arrived in time for the long weekend...I'm sure this will be perfect Bank Holiday reading :o)
This was a reasonably fun read, like I've come to expect from these pre-Plum stories & it follows the usual tried & tested format. It kept me mildly amused for a couple of hours but I didn't find it anything special.
(However, to be fair I've read quite a lot of chicklit/romance lately & have been disappointed with them all....I think perhaps I have had my quota of this style for a while!)
Have got em64's address & it will be on it's way shortly :o)

2008 KEEP THEM MOVING CHALLENGE (#54)
NB
second attempt at release note, for some reason yesterday's didn't log my name...
looks like a question for tech support!
Got the book in the mail yesterday and have already read well over half of it :-) Should be able to finish it today, it has been an entertaining read so far.
Finished the book last night. Had a couple of giggles so it was an entertaining read. These are just perfect when you'll need to switch your brain off. I'm a bit intrigued to see if Evanovich would be able to write a book without a dog...
I already have solskinn's address so I'm going to pop into the post office today after work and the book continue its journey. Thanks for sharing this book, DK1010!
The book arrived in Vienna, Austria today.
Thank you so much for including me, DK1010, and thank you, em64, for sending it!
A nice, light, quick, and fun read with plenty moments to laugh about. Certainly a page turner.
I haven't read any other books by Janet Evanovich (yet), so now I wonder what her later works are like. If "Wife for Hire" was one of her starters, I expect good books on my Mt TBR to come.
I already have Supertalya's address, so I will pass the book on to her tomorrow morning.
Thanks again DK1010 for including me in this bookring at such late notice!

Just got it in the mail!
Update 20 November: It was a quick light read. I wish life could be like a Janet Evanovich book sometimes.
I emailed the person who started the bookring and she is looking for more readers. It will stay with me until the new list is up.

On its wayt to Kirsty in the UK.
Received in the post today from fellow bookcrosser in South Korea. Many Thanks! Will start reading tonight and send on it's merry way as soon as I have finished it!
This book served it's purpose of a light read and escapism. I have never read any of this author's work before and I doubt I will race out and buy another book by her. As I am stressed at the moment, it was an easy (if irritating) read, although I did consider giving up several times.
However, I saw the book to the end and it has just reminded me that I don't like 'Saccharine - sweet', 'neat and fluffy' books. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it , it is just for me. I just don't appreciate this genre.

arrived today and thanks
Several years ago. No many years ago, I went through a Mills and Boon reading fest.
This is a Mills and Boon type read - but what happened to Elsie and her budding romance?.
Will I look out for more of this author's books? I doubt it unless the back of the cornflakes box becomes boring
Sorry folks but will be PM'ing next person soon

on it's travels again
Sooooooooooo sorry but only got to the post office this morning (29th) and has been sent 1st class
i received this a couple of days ago and read it straight away. it was good for a bit of escapism at a stressful time of year but, although i love the stephanie plum series, i don't think i will be rushing to read any more of these earlier books, sorry! have PM'd EmgeeNL.
The book arrived in the mail yesterday. It's going on the TBR stack
I guess I think about this book as many of the readers above me. It sure is an easy read (finished it within 2 days) but it's not quite my style. I do enjoy a chicklit now and then, but this was too much for me and very unbelievable.
Just sent Christoffel a pm for the address, sorry for not asking the address as soon as I got the book as was supposed to :(.
Christoffel reacted very quickly so the book was sent today. Enjoy the book!
I just received this book today. Thank you for making this a ring DK1010, and for sending it to me EmgeeNL!

I really enjoyed this book, and read it in no time! The end was quite fast, and came a bit suddenly.
It's on it way to MarcThomas by priority mail now. Should arrive within 3-5 business days.
Arrived safely in the mail a couple of days ago. I have a few ring books ahead of this one but I'll do my best to read it quick.
Started reading this morning. It shouldn't take me too long to read it. I PM l0v3bo0ksnch0c right away so the ring can go on as soon as I'm finished reading. Sorry for the delay, I signed up to many bookrings a while ago and all the books seem to arrive at the same time.

Sent to l0v3bo0ksnch0c in Poland. Hope you'll like it.
As far as I'm concerned I found the story a bit too simple. It's a classical romance story and I must admit I'm not really into it.
It remains a nice story overall but I thought the writing style was merely OK.
I've received this book from MarcThomas.
Thanks.
I've finished reading the book. I'm waiting for nikel27 to reply my email with her address.
I found the story as light and funny, as most of Janet Evanovich's books I've read.
Got the address. Will post the book on Monday :)
arrived safe at my house, look's like a quit read

It is on its way to awakeagain. Travel safe and happy reading!
Rec'd this book today. As soon as I'm finished my current book, this will be the next one. PMing the next in line.
rebeccaljames asked to be skipped so this book goes back to DK1010 when I'm done.
A fun little book and quick read. I started around 9 a.m. this morning and, even with interruptions for breakfast, lunch, laundry and registering about 55 books, I was finished by 1 p.m.
Wrapped and ready to go home. Hopefully I'll get to the post office within the next few days.
OK, this book is home again. Thank you everyone who took such good care of this book while it traveled. It is still in very good shape. I think I'll send it travelling again sometime soon, but I'm not sure where or when.
