Winter Holding Spring

I've enjoyed several of Dragonwagon's poetic, offbeat children's books, and was glad to find this fair-condition ex-library hardcover online for a nice low price.
This book deals with a father and daughter trying to cope after the loss of their wife/mother... At first the two are just going about their lives, Sarah choosing library books [a nice passage there as to how one goes about choosing books, from the cover to the author's picture to a sampling of the contents] and looking at flowers, etc. But it becomes clear that she and her father are still grieving, and are only just beginning to talk to each other about their loss. Some of the scenes are very poignant indeed, especially to those who have lost loved ones, but there are some lovely scenes of hope, as well...

RELEASE NOTES:
I left this book at Parlee Farm, near one of the goat pens in back, at about 1:30. [The farthest pen had some new baby goats in it; they were playing and butting each other, but as they were back in the dimly-lit part of the shed I couldn't catch 'em in a picture. Awfully cute, though.]
Hope the finder enjoys the book!
