Had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Berg at our local bookstore at an author event! Very likeable, interesting, unassuming woman.

This [autographed!] book set in Chicago during World War II features a wonderful Irish family of 3 sisters with boyfriends all involved one way or another in the war effort. Several moments reminded me of my childhood, some of the challenges of doing without, while enjoying life!

I am a big fan of Elizabeth Berg and jumped at the chance to read her latest novel. Thanks, JDT. How generous of you to share your autographed copy.

Elizabeth Berg never disappoints. Her characters are so real that they jump off the page. Dialogue is never forced or anything but lifelike and natural.

This story of World War II and the families left at home is heartbreaking, uplifting, and pure Berg.

Bringing it to our monthly meeting. This is the first time our group has met at Panera Bread, so I am not sure how it is set up to release books, but I am sure you will have no problem finding the book.
