A delightful book for teens.

From the back cover:
I am in love with Mr. Lindstrom, my science teacher. I found out where he lives and every night I perch on a tree branch outside his bedroom window and watch him sleep. He sleeps in his underwear: Fruit of the Loom, size 34.

Owl Tycho, the shape-shifting daughter of "simple witches" is a high school student by day and owl by night. When her nightly vigil over her science teacher is interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious, starving, wild-eyed boy and the inept behavior of a new owl, she soon finds her affections beginning to shift.

I rather enjoy this story, which I read during BookObsessed's very first read-a-thon.

It's a beautiful story, and the emotions of Owl is so realistic - her angst, her love, trying to fit in at school while keenly and somewhat proudly aware of her difference. I am not sure however, why she does need to speak in such antiqued manner. The plot is quite easy to figure out, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Hey azuki! Haha, so I did manage to visit the OBCZ and leave a book there, and couldn't resist picking this one up and taking it with me. Sounds like a fun read.

I took this with me to read and release on my trip to Vienna, but was too busy walking around to read much.. Finished it while waiting for the airplane (not sure if the airport is a good place to release) so I took it back home with me.

This was a fun read and I quite enjoyed it. Owl is a likeable character, though sometimes she seems a bit unrealistically sheltered from modern life (seeing how she goes to school and admits to reading teen girl magazines). The parts about the boy were confusing at first but that just reflects his mental state. It was fairly predictable where the story was going but I liked it nonetheless.
