I'd enjoyed some of Dragonwagon's lyrical children's books in the past, and was intrigued to see this new cookbook by her - all about cornbread! Since I have a Southern background I was amused by the section comparing and contrasting typical southern-style cornbread vs. northern, and found it quite accurate too... So far I've tried the author's favorite recipe, but while it was quite tasty I think it's a bit more of a hybrid style than I'm used to; will tackle one of the more purely-southern recipes next!
