"Two drowned brides distract Agatha from her marriage...Abandoned by James, Agatha hops on a plane to the South Pacific. There she meets a honeymooning couple but tragically, the new bride accidentally drowns. Returning home to Carsely, Agatha finds herself involved in a strangely similar situation - a woman, dressed in a wedding gown, is found floating in a river. The police say suicide, but Agatha, spurred on by memories of her disastrous marriage, sets out to prove them wrong." - amazon.co.uk synopsis

7 out of 10

Does Agatha really need a dishy new neighbour? As well as that, she has the usual mix of attempts on her life and sticking her nose in where its not wanted. Very fun.

Now going to someone as part of an exchange - enjoy!

And another one!!
Just finished The Terrible Tourist this week, so a few to catch up on. I personally don't think it's meant to be for poor Aggie & James!!

When read send to Plum-crazy

At last a man in Agge's life who isn't called James or Jim!
I'm so glad I live nowhere in the vicinity of Carsley, or I'd be convinced my days were numbered!
My bookring of The Curious Curate is on it's way home, so if you want that one next, let me know!

Mmmm...didn't enjoy this as much as previous Aggie adventures...though still an amusing tale.

The preconceptions that Agatha & John had about each other were quite entertaining - anyone is better for Agatha than James! (Is D.I. Brudge attached?...that could be quite a fun pairing)

Not the best of the series but it certainly won't put me off reading more!
It will be on it's way to Nu-knees shortly....enjoy!

Thank you, plum-crazy! Finding a book behind the door was a lovely Welcome Home from a few days away at a family funeral :-( To get there, we drove through the beautiful Cotswolds :-)

I do love reading the adventures of our Aggie and look forward to seeing what she got up to when the floods came :-)

I've just noticed that this book started its journey in Weston-super-Mare where I was born and brought up, where I was visiting my father yesterday, where I spent last night in the Pavilions Travel Inn and which I only left about 4 hours ago!! What a small world ...

I do enjoy reading Agatha's adventures but her disastrous relationships with the men in her life can be very irritating at times! I frequently want to sit her down and explain that she doesn't have to view every male within a ten mile radius as a potential lover! It comes under the heading of: Things Your Mother Should Have Taught You - but obviously didn't! Her latest neighbour seemed particularly unsuitable this time around :-)

Having said that, this mystery was quite as entertaining as I expected, although perhaps not one of my favourites.

Where next? I've marked it Reserved while I check out one or two possible recipients!

Our Aggie's going to sail back across the Pennines in the pouring rain from a wet North Yorkshire to an equally wet Lancashire and float through Sterile's letterbox! Enjoy!
