Hehe, I think I have a few to add to this one!! It's winter + we are dealing with constantly-coughing and sneezing kids (and staff!) at school (+ we have a VP from hell, for a dash of added stress, er.. spice) = lots of comfort food, no holds barred
Stay tuned... ;-)

Just arrived and I have a couple recipes I'll pass along. I agree with jessibud about the soy milk and cereal for supper...it was a family favorite when I worked full-time, too!

I will be mailing this to Azuki tomorrow. Just want to recommend some foodie reads:
Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics by Jessica Porter, Candy Freak by Steve Almond, Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto, Botanica Erotica by Diana de Luca, and Revolution at the Table by Harvey Levenstien.
Happy reading and EATING!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Safely arrived. It is fun to read through the journal. Will have to think about what recipes to add in!
Sorry I forgot to journal this along with the book. I have finished reading the book, journaled in this one, and have packed both to be mailed out.
What a great idea, a companion journal to a book on a ring. Will be adding my bit for sure.
Will be posting on to next on list in the week.

Delightful little companion journal to "Alone in the kitchen with an Eggplant" bookring. Released on with book to next in ring " orange-platypus"
I enjoyed reading this companion journal more than the book! What a great idea. Now I'll have to think of some of my own to add in...

What a pleasant surprise!! I can't wait to add my own personal contribution :)
I did receive this with Alone with... and did not realize it had a different number - sorry.
I will write something and send on with Alone with. I have to echo the last entry and I believe I am enjoying the journal more than the book..

This journal, plus Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant, reached me safely today; many thanks! Looking forward to reading these!
I've added some comments to this journal, but didn't include a recipe, so I'll post one here: it's something between a smoothie and a lassi (flavored yogurt drink), and is ludicrously easy, which I consider a good thing. I'll take about 6 oz. of yogurt (I prefer vanilla-flavored, but you could use plain and add any sweetener you wanted) with about 3 oz. of a powerful fruit juice such as pomegranate or black currant. Then put them into a shaker-jar or water-bottle, shake until blended, and enjoy!
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
BCer meezergirl was next in line for the book ring, but she's disabled her PMs and seems to have left BookCrossing. Next was directionshome, but she didn't respond to my PMs, hasn't been active lately, and has a couple of outstanding ISOs in the forums, so I figured I'd better skip her too.
So I'm sending this journal, along with the book, off to bluestocking88 in Washington; hope you enjoy it!
