Ho ho ho, Secret Santa has been evry busy this year :)
My Secret Santa has been very generous. SS sent me five books, all from my wish list. Thank you ever so much, oi-reader!
Merry Christmas!
I really liked this book, it was a great read. The atmosphere was very real and story almost thrilling. People in this little seaside town were so evil, like Dementors.
I'll send this out as a Holiday Gift Giving surprise.

Thank you dotdot :) I've read some pages already, and the book seems to be interesting. Will continue reading asap :)
I'm not sure whether I liked the book or not. The story itself was nice and interesting, but for some reason I had difficulties to concentrate in reading. Of course, I'm not that used to read in English (expect professional books), so that might affect my opinion rather much. Reading was quite slow, and I often had to jump back some pages to recall what had happened.
Anyway, I'm happy I had the possibility to read this book and get to know the author :)

To Hippolein - finally :)
To Hippolein - finally :)
Wonderful! Home until at least the end of this week for being ill, now I have an extra book to read. As I'm wondering if I should go to work in a bookshop, this should make the choice easier (at least I hope).
Not that I have nothing on MtTBR, just easier to read something not that heavy and without going through the piles on the bookshelf!

Had this book with me to read in the metro, and managed to finish it yesterday. Was a very nice story, well written, with a bit surprising end. Don't think I would do what the main person in the story did, and think I'll stay out of the bookshop as working place too (after reading this book certainly).
Thanks a lot to the persons that passed this book on, was worth reading!

After spending some time on my Mount To-be-read I finally read the book. I was planning on finishing it before the BookCrossing Convention in Amsterdam last week and to release it, but I didn't succeed...
I liked the book, although the story made me a bit sad: having such a good idea and neighbours who turn against you. Incredible!
Thanks again for sending it to me hippolein, over a year ago.
I'll look for another opportunity to release it!

i stumbled upon this book in salisbury last year but only registered it today! sorry.
The style of writing was "dated" and I found that I needed to sit and read it in a quiet place to stop my mind from wondering. On the other hand, I found Fitzgerarld was observant and humorous in how she so shrewdly described people and situations. On the whole, the read was enjoyable.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Overall, I thought the book was worth reading because of the shrewd reflections and humour used by the author. However, I found the style of writing was a bit "dated" at times and this meant I found it difficult to concentrate. It is definitely a "sit somewhere quiet with no distractions" kind of novel. Despite this, it was interested to make comparisons about how the written word/expressions have changed.
