Paula Spencer is one of Roddy Doyle's most endearing characters. I am so pleased he has returned to her and continued her story. I hope this is good as I have loved all the previous novels about her.

Bought this as part of 1 for 2 deal at Borders in Oxford Street.

7 out of 10

I read The Woman who walked into Doors several years ago and was stuck by the poignancy of the story of Paul Spencer, a battered wife living in relative poverty in Dublin. This book fast forwards to discover how Paula has survived the death of her husband and alcoholism.

This is a quiet novel about characters and small incidents of life. It was very well written.

I will release this into the wild for someone else to find. I hope whoever finds this book enjoys it - welcome to Bookcrossing!!!
