Journal Entry 1 by karendawn from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Saturday, November 10, 2007
There are only eight breeding female werecats left . . . And I'm one of them I look like an all-American grad student. But I am a werecat, a shape-shifter, and I live in two worlds. Despite reservations from my family and my Pride, I escaped the pressure to continue my species and carved out a normal life for myself. Until the night a Stray attacked. I'd been warned about Strays—werecats without a Pride, constantly on the lookout for someone like me: attractive, female, and fertile. I fought him off, but then learned two of my fellow tabbies had disappeared. This brush with danger was all my Pride needed to summon me back . . . for my own protection. Yeah, right. But I'm no meek kitty. I'll take on whatever—and whoever—I have to in order to find my friends. Watch out, Strays—'cause I got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them . . .

I really liked this book a lot. Faythe is a strong character (even though I don't really like the way her name is spelled) that I instantly cared about. And I love how the book ended with the hint that there is something more to Andrew - perhaps there will be a sequel that picks up on that idea?

I have been wanting to read this ever since I first saw a copy in a swap on BookObesessed.com I finally got a copy into my grubby little hands and have decided to use it for the "So Good You Just Have To Take It Off" Swap. As the object is you have to play with a TBR and it's supposed to be one you just can't wait to read, this seems perfect. It also helps that I know there are alot of other people wanting to get their hands on a copy too.

Got this in the mail today. I have already read this book, but will share this with someone else. Probably from BookObsessed.com. ~~~ From my 11/23/07 JE on another copy of this book -- While at first I had a hard time getting into this book because of all of the 'cat' terminology; tabby, tomcat, stray, pride, etc. I eventually got involved in the storyline and it became a 'can't put it down' book. Very interesting new take on the were-society. I found the characters interesting, even if Faythe is too stubborn and hard headed for her own good, and got involved in the story.
