Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype

This is an incredible book. Certain chapters are a must-read for any woman today. Dr. Estes' prose is difficult to read at times. She tends to use a dozen words when three will do, and she is excessively fond of complicated metaphors, but her writing is very expressive and her style is loving and comfortable. I almost felt like she was my own personal spirit guide and wished I could sit down and spend a few hours with her, hearing these stories with the ear, as they were meant to be heard. Any woman who reads this will understand what she means by a woman's Wildish Nature and will yearn to get hers back. This book is best taken in doses. Read for a while, then put it away, let the concepts roll around in your mind and soul for a few days or weeks, then come back and read some more. It would be difficult to get anything from this book if you read it in less than 30 days.

Traded this book with a fellow book-crosser in Tennessee. I hope she enjoys this book as much as I did, and I hope she will release it into the wild again to touch some other woman's life.
