Welcome to the Monkey House

This collection of short stories from the early part of Vonnegut's career is rather dated. But in a good way. With computers that fill entire rooms that write poetry and small town theater company actors who find themselves with the role they take on. It shows what an incredibly powerful writer he was. I will pass this on at the Trivalley Meet up tomorrow night.
Picked up at tonight's meeting.

So many excellent stories. There were only two I didn't like. I wish I could spend more time with the book but I have other pressing commitments!

Got this in the last couple of weeks when my computer was in the shop. Thanks for the book!
Welcome to the Monkey House is a collection of short stories by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Many of them have a sci-fi theme to them, others just have strange themes or plot twists. Some of my favorites are Harrison Bergeron, Long Walk to Forever, Tom Edison's Shaggy Dog, The Hyannis Port Story, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow.
This was my first book by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. I really enjoyed reading the short stories and will probably read more by him. I really liked that the short stories were all different in one way or another. Some of them were set in the same place, or time, but each was a stand alone story.
