Safely picked up this evening from the post office, thanks for sharing! I'm anxious to start a new series :)
Ignoring the ever-growing number of murders, the book had a certain feel-good quality. The main character is likeable, no-nonsense yet amusingly in distress occasionally, without it falling into cliche. I am looking forward to following Stephanie Plum's adventures in later installments.

I've read very few (one? two?) books by this prolific writer, so I thought I'd take advantage of the mystery VBB to expand my horizons a bit. Thanks so much for making this available and for sending!
This is the first of all the Stephanie Plum stories. Once upon a time I read one further down the line in the series, at which time, if I recall correctly, she had already become an experienced and competent bounty hunter. I seem to recall the relationship with Joe Morelli was still a thing, but I could be mistaken. Here she is a bit of a bumbler, her main skill being a relentless perseverance (although she does become something of a sharp shooter). The plot twists and turns and is amusing enough for me to be on look out for subsequent books in the series. Currently stored in Mallorca.
