Journal Entry 1 by Bluestocking88 from -- Wild released somewhere in the state, Washington USA on Wednesday, October 31, 2007
This journal will travel along with the Movers and Shakers Bookbox. The shipping order is as follows: allysther itpdx FeralReader RockBird siriradha Bibliotreker SkingList mrsjones MicheleReads Cardamom-Wolfe msjoanna Home to Bluestocking88 I've put a lot of care in selecting current and interesting books others would like to read. Please do the same for future readers, meaning please don't fill this with undesirable or terribly outdated books. Please put in at least as many books as you take out. If the box begins to fall apart, please feel free to replace it. I want to keep this box moving, so no more than two weeks at a stop. Journal when the box arrives, update what you take out and put in, and journal again when it is traveling again. And this box is leaving my hands with the following books: China Men by Maxine Hong Kingston Driving Over Lemons by Chris Stewart Funny In Farsi by Firoozeh Dumas How The Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents by Julia Alvarez Tales of a Female Nomad by Rita Golden Gelman 'Tis by Frank McCourt The Bone People by Keri Hulme The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan Waiting for Snow in Havana: Confessions of a Cuban Boy by Carlos Eire A Pirate Looks at Fifty by Jimmy Buffett Honeymoon with my Brother by Franz Wisner

I'm not sure whether theres anything in here I'll be switching out, but who knows. A few of the titles look interesting. I may have to let a few of my relatives pick through; some of this looks like their taste. I'll have the books in the mail shortly, in a different box (thanks for the warning, FeralReader).

Journal Entry 16 by AnonymousFinder on Friday, April 04, 2008
3+ years on BookCrossing and this is my first ever book box. I had completely forgotten about it until bibliotreker PM'ed me for my details last week and then promptly forgot again - and was so surprised to find this on my porch when I got home form a long week. So many good books! A couple of direct wishlist hits and others I've read before and can testify to how amazing they are. Going to PM mrsjones now and if I can get an address, I'll re-stock and ship this tomorrow. Otherwise it will likely be here until Saturday 4.12 because my work schedule often doesn't allow me to get to the post office during the week. Thanks so much for organizing this, Bluestocking and thanks for sending it my way, bibliotreker. CAUGHT IN SOUTH NYACK NEW YORK USA

Journal Entry 27 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Tuesday, July 29, 2008
This box is with me in New York. Because I'm the last stop, I'm trying to clear the box of those books that started in the box so that bluestocking88 gets all new books back. Unfortunately, for one book -- The Joy Luck Club -- the best I could do was to switch my copy for hers so that at least a different book can travel to her. In addition to switching The Joy Luck Club for The Joy Luck Club, I'm taking: Tis -- great book and I don't want bluestocking to get it back, so I'll find it a new home To The Last City -- looks interesting and I'm adding House of Sand and Fog I'm A Stranger Here Myself The box will be on its way home shortly (in a smaller box that will hopefully be less likely to be crushed in shipping). (mailed, via media mail, Aug. 5, 2008)
