The story begins at the futurological congress, an academic event dedicated to the problems and solutions of the future. The congress is interrupted by a coup in the host country and the participants have to flee the hotel.

Lem isn't really at the top of his form here. The parts in the future society are well done, but until that the thing just isn't very interesting. The ending is quite predictable, and I'm left wondering what it tries to say. Still, an overall positive experience.
