Going into my Historical Romance bookbox
I liked it even though the premise is sightly difficult to belive. Victorian young women usually didn't ask strangers to marry them, wallflowers especally. Good read. Caught as part of historical romance bookbox from awakeagain.

Enjoyed this book, back to bookbox
Picked up from awakeagain's historical romance bookbox. Thank you!
I finished this a few days ago. Pretty good story. I thought it was interesting to read about the Victorian equivalent of a casino! As keno-mom said, the premise is difficult to believe. Still, I liked it okay. Back on my AVL shelf now.
I am dissolving my participation in bookcrossing and am sending all my remaining BC books to fellow bookcrosser bookstogive.
Received this book from bluesneak who is leaving BC and I offered to find a new home for her books. Thanks for sharing them and I will get them out into the world very soon.
Evangeline Jenner needs a husband to escape from her abusive family and Sebastian St. Vincent needs a wife with a fortune and he decides to accept Evie's marriage proposal. This marriage of convenience soon becomes more and after Sebastian almost is killed they find out their true feelings for each other. I liked the story and enjoyed the characters.
