Different (imo better) cover. I loved this author when I was a child, and upon re-reading her work still do. So does my 11 yr old son. Mystery, imagination, humor, coming-of-age, friendship, generational conflict, perspectives on society, on alternative family structure, all wrapped up in a good story.
This looks cute. I'll read, then pass along to Darsbooks
There are several layers to this book, which kept it interesting. The author explores children's imaginations, friendships, growing-up, alongside some harsher and scarier realities that plague children. The primary focus on this novel is the nature of friendship and imagination making this novel an entertaining and easy read.
