Bought at Goodwill to read and release. I don't believe I have ever read Michael Crichton and this seemed a good one to start with.

I was right: this was a good one to start with (I can't believe I *still* hadn't read any Michael Crichton in the last 7.5 years!). It feels good to get this book off the bottom of Mt. TBR at last, and to mark the "A Book With Train In The Title" square on my 2015 Reading BINGO card (I'm playing full-card BINGO).

"The Great Train Robbery" is a 40-year-old book about a 160-year-old crime. Since this is a true-life story, I knew the caper had been pulled off—I just didn't know how. The meticulous plans and detailed descriptions of 19th-century London were fascinating to read. And though the criminal slang tripped me up a few times, the pace and the story kept me going.
