This was a wonderful, quick read. I wasn't familiar with the game "Bigger is Better", but now I want to play. The basic premise is you start with something and continually trade up for something better. His ultimate goal was a house. Kyle mixed the trades with 'advice' on following your dreams so this is an interesting mix of project blog/sociological experiment.

Loved that one of his first offers was a spork, I ♥ sporks!

"...I was open-minded to most trade offers, but I had to draw the line somewhere. And somewhere was at souls, body parts, and virginity."

It's here! How exciting! I have to say this book looks pristine! I can't wait to read it. I am halfway through another book and should be starting this one tomorrow. Thanks Skinglist for sharing your book!

I have been chatting with gringuitica because she joined one of my bookrays today! Now I will ask for her address so I can send this book to her next!

This was a great book! Not many people would think "Gee I can take this paperclip and make several trades and make all of my dreams come true." Some people might have the idea, but to just take that idea and go for it. Wow! I really liked this book. I even checked out the website because I was curious! One Red Paperclip.com

I have it all wrapped up and will be mailing it to gringuitica in Costa Rica on Monday, Nov. 19th!

Picked up at the PO yesterday, read it today... a nice book, just what I expected it to be. The idea of Bigger and Better is very interesting and can be inspiring, whether you take it literally or figuratively. I'd recommend this to anyone who has even a vague interest in how Mr. MacDonald traded one red paperclip for a home in Saskatchewan.

Will be PMing next on bookring list & then sending off!

I hope you don't mind... I borrowed the book from my neighbor Gringuitica while she waited for the address of the next person in the ring (I read it in two days and there is no address yet, so it wasn't stalled or anything).
It is a very quick and nice read. I am a sucker for a sweet ending!
I had heard the story...well basically that a guy traded a paper clip (I don't think I knew it was red) for a house, but I had no idea of all the work it actually implied. I don't think I could do it, I'm not a fan of interviews and such, Kyle is very brave and I admire him for that.
I'm returning the book to Gringuitica, so it can keep traveling. Thanks! ;)

This ring has apparently fallen in the Atlantic Ocean. Silly Bermuda Triangle!

LyzzyBee has replaced it with her copy and remaining participants have been moved there.
