Journal Entry 1 by azuki from Miami, Florida USA on Tuesday, October 23, 2007
This children's book is the autobiography in simply English and Japanese. Ashley has Progeria, a rapid aging disease. The book is full of photos and illustrations. I can't help looking at her face, an unnatural mixture of aged and youth. The narration moves me, as it tells of a simple, brave, young girl facing permature death. I picked this up at a used Japanese bookstore in Hong Kong. I will finish reading it and bring it back to Hong Kong to pass on to BCer Meexia from Singapore. What a travel!!

Got this book in person from Azuki. It's also my first meeting with fellow BCer overseas. We met in Hong Kong! Thanks Azuki! :) I got a chance to read it briefly (the English text) at the hostel in HK. A touching story. What a brave little girl..
