Journal Entry 10 by madmadge from Christchurch, Dorset United Kingdom on Wednesday, January 09, 2008
How exciting! My first bookbox. There was a card through the door when I got home yesterday to say a parcel had arrived but it was too big to go through my letterbox so I went to collect it this morning. It's here at work with me and I've had a quick look through. Looks like there are quite a few interesting books in there so I will have to look out some replacements. Thank you starflash for including me and raeliz for posting it on to me. I'll try not to keep it too long.

Journal Entry 11 by madmadge from Christchurch, Dorset United Kingdom on Wednesday, January 09, 2008
I arrived home and couldn't wait to have a good root around in this box. I've made my decision. This is what I've taken out: Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte Boy - Roald Dahl The Penguin Book of English Short Stories - Various To The Lighthouse - Virginia Woolf The Mill on the Floss - George Eliot This is what I'm putting in: A Passage to India - E M Forster Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen Around the World in Eighty Days - Jules Verne Three Men in a Boat - Jerome K Jerome My Family and Other Animals - Gerald Durrell - couldn't get it in! - see below It will be interesting to see how the box ends up at the end of its journey. This is such fun! Will PM Sharonrocks for her details and send it on its way some time next week. Edited because I couldn't get Gerald Durrell in no matter how hard I tried. I've replaced him with Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice

Journal Entry 13 by sharonrocks on Monday, January 21, 2008
Ooooh, it's arrived today. How exciting. I notice that the ratio of classics seems to be quite high compared to prizewinners, so I will be sure to add a couple of PWs once I've had a rummage through... (later) Right! Thanks to Starflash for starting this box - it's a brilliant idea (maybe we can do it again?) and also to Madmadge for sending it to me. Here's what I'm going to do: Out: Dickens - Hard Times Austen - Persuasion Greene - The Human Factor In: Ian McEwan - Black Dogs James Kellman - How late it was, how late Hardy - Tess of the d'Urbervilles Plus, I'm going to switch the copy of A Passage to India by Forster for a different one as mine is lighter and will save postage! AND in my efforts to bump up the prizerwinneryness a bit further, I'm adding a bonus book: Kate Atkinson, One Good Turn. I will get this on the move asap. Sharon

Journal Entry 16 by Rivercassini from London , Greater London United Kingdom on Tuesday, February 12, 2008
Picked up from Wanderingstar8 earlier this evening at the London monthly bookcrossing meet (thank you for carrying it around all day for me). This box is packed full of good things including some old (and new favourites). I would have grabbed Snow Falling on Cedars straight away if I hadn't just read it last week. I think I know what I'm going to take out, but it might take me a few days to decide what to put in!
