Purchased from Double Day clearance sale.

With both her first anniversary as a vampire and her thirty-first birthday rapidly approaching, Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor still does not have everything lined up for her impending wedding. Her best friend is being testy; her pal, a veterinarian vamp, wants permission to bite her mortal lover; and a delegation of European vampires shows up to pay respect to the vampire royal couple and seek out any exploitable weaknesses. Betsy became the queen because a lot of the pesky vampire rules just don't apply to her. She doesn't even need to suck blood on a daily basis, so in the midst of all this turmoil, she decides to go on a blood-free diet, which leaves her in a perpetual state of annoyance as she eagerly anticipates the surprise party she has said is forbidden. Bubbly fun for fans of the series.

I got a bit tired of being told the characters were vampires and other such creatures.....I GOT IT....aside from that this was a harmless piece of fluff

Journal Entry 4 by wombles from Caboolture, Queensland Australia on Sunday, December 21, 2008
Picked up at meetup today, it's funny actually I was looking at these outside on the clearance table before meetup. I'm sure they are on someones wishlist, otherwise I might take it to the convention in April.

Yay! Thanks for the surprise, wombles! This was, indeed, on my wishlist. :)
Arrived this morning.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series. The 3rd was okay. The 4th turned out to be rather blah. This 5th book is well...pretty bad. It is very short, very much lacking in plot, and Betsy is just getting on my nerves. I dare say that I will not be reading any more of this series. What a disappointment.

Caught this at the Perth bc meetup today. I've read an earlier book in this series and quite enjoyed it. I'm planning to keep this for some time I'm in the need for some solid comfort chick lit :)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

This book was pretty haphazard - a bunch of almost random happenings plus references to what must have been the plots of prior stories in the series. Betsy is rather annoying and Sinclair is so characterless, that I wonder if he's even there! It's lucky this book is so short, otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished.

Anyway, am at The Astor in Mt Lawley tonight so I shall release it here in the foyer and hope someone picks it up!!
