I've been anxiously awaiting this box & it finally arrived on my doorstep today! And what a great box it is! I've only peeked in very briefly & then dashed here to the computer to journal that I'd received it (because I've got company arriving any minute now), but I can already tell I'm going to have a hard time not taking too many! Looking forward to sifting through!

Journal Entry 11 by Shausha from Kersey, Pennsylvania USA on Monday, January 14, 2008
I have looked through the box as have my Mom and daughter. We are taking the following books: The Art of Kissing Veil of Roses Our Lady of the Forest World of Pies The Birth of Venus Sometimes I Dream In Italian Leonardo's Swans Putting in Carolina Isle Flirting with Pete Out of Nowhere Share No Secrets Private Eyes Slayer the totally cool unofficial guide to Buffy Norah My Mom and I especially enjoyed this bookbox. My Dad was fascinated about the whole bookcrossing and bookbox concept. He likes Westerns, religious books and Indian books. I said that someday he should start his own bookbox. He is 75-years old and loves the computer and books. He should join bookcrossing! I am going to PM the next person in line and the box will go out as soon as I get their address Note: In preparing the box today to go to the next person, I discovered that Dawn was already reserved for someone and that The Christmas Angel was a series and it was not the 1st in the series. I have replaced these two books. they are included in my list above.

Tried to ship it today and was REJECTED! They wouldn't ship the box because it said Vodka on the side. I thought that this was strange seeing how it arrived in the same box a few days ago with no problem. The snotty post office worker said that they would never accept such a box and acted like I was lying! I'll try again tomorrow if I have time to drive down there again. If not I may have to wait until Monday.

Released 4 yrs ago (4/18/2008 UTC) at Mailed to next particpant in by mail, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES: Sent via media mail w/delivery confirmation to bookaholic, next on the list. **I had the same trouble at the post office with trying to mail a box that used to contain alcohol. Apparently there was still a V showing (for vodka) and the postal worked refused it. I finished tearing the rest of the V off right then and there and he took it. However, the next person on the bookbox list may want to replace the box just in case the next postal worker doesn't like the cute little vodka-drinking elephant on the side of the box.

Journal Entry 29 by sweetsangria from Forest Grove, Oregon USA on Tuesday, May 06, 2008
The bookbox has returned safely home. Thank all of you for making it a success! It went out with 24 books and came back with 28. Only 3 of my own books returned back to me, and there were about 6 that went onto my tbr pile. I was a little disappointed that 3 people put in romances when the rules clearly said "NO ROMANCES". One person put in 5. I still feel like it was successful...not being stalled. Thanks again...happy reading!!
