If you have found this book, welcome to Bookcrossing and thank you for taking the time to let us know about its journey. Feel free to enjoy the book and pass it along to a friend, neighbor, family member or co-worker, or simply leave it somewhere for another lucky reader to enjoy as you did! This book isn’t your type of read? No problem, don't feel obliged to read it, just be kind enough to help it on its journey.

Book 1 in Shopaholic series.

From back cover:

Becky Bloomwood has what most 25 year olds only dream of: a flat in London's trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season's must-haves. The only trouble is, she can't actually afford it--not any of it. Her job writing at Successful Saving magazine not only bores her to tears, it doesn't pay much at all. Still, how can she resist that perfect pair of shoes? Or the divine silk blouse in the window of her ultra-trendy boutique? But lately Becky's been chased by dismal letters from Visa and the Endwich Bank--letters with large red sums she can't bear to read--and they're getting ever harder to ignore. She tries cutting back; she even tries making more money. But none of her efforts succeeds. Her only consolation is to buy herself something...just a little something...

Finally, a story arises that Becky actually cares about, and her front-page article catalyzes a chain of events that will transform her life--and the lives of those around her--forever.

*********************************************************************

This was the first in the "shopaholic" series. Becky Bloomwood is just a nut! So ironic that she is supposed to be an expert in finances professionally, when her personal finances are in a shambles! So hilarious.

I read this one a few years ago, but when I saw this nearly pristine copy on sale for 50 cents at the library, I had to buy one because I know there is someone who will enjoy this book!

This book arrived today. My Mom is having surgery on Friday-guess I know what I will be reading while at the hospital. Thanks for sharing.

This was such a cute, lighthearted story and just want I needed this week!
I really like Rebecca Bloomwood. I think there is a little bit of a shopaholic in all of us. Haven't we all bought things we don't really need? especially because they were such a bargain? and then three months later beat yourself up over it because you have never used it? OK-maybe I have more in common with Bex than I should admit!

Shausha no longer wants to read this book. I have pm'd FarheenAltaf.

This book will be on its way to FarheenAltaf tomorrow morning.

Received it today. Thanks.

April 14, 2008:
I adored the book. I read the other books in the series so it was good to read the begining. I liked it a lot because I sometime am a shopaholic too... however I must admit I use my accounting degree better than Becky does. And I also have better handle of my finances than Becky does.

PM'd Shelly3110 for her address.

April 18, 2008:
Book is on its way to Australia.

Thanks for letting me be the part of the bookray. :)

Recieved it today, thanks for sharing.

26 May 2008:
I really enjoyed this book, I was reading it in between writing an essay for uni and enjoyed having something fun to read in my down time. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series but will have to wait for another bookray or get them from the library. I have to restrain myself from buying them, there's a bit of shopaholic in me and books are a favourite purchase.

I'm sending this off in the post to SazzyMCH in the UK.

I'm glad I read this book, if only to remind me not to read anymore of them. I joined this ray because so many people rave about this series, but I just had an overwhelming urge to give Becky a good slap!!!!! It wasn't my thing at all I'm afraid.

Thanks for sharing tho! It's off to Greece today where it will hopefully receive a more favourable welcome!

When I first started the book quite a while ago, I couldn't really get into the story, because all that shopping stuff was so far away from. After the first half of the I actually started to enjoy the book. It's a nice easy read. But I think I personally wouldn't want to read any other Shopaholic books. Travelling to Triscani today.

Journal Entry 17 by Triscani from Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro Brazil on Friday, January 30, 2009
It has finally arrived, will read soon! :)

Journal Entry 18 by criswolff from Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro Brazil on Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Got the book yesterday! Thanks a lot, Jenny.

I'm still in the middle of another bookring reading, so it might take a little while. Maybe I'll read both at the same time, and the one I can't drop will be finished first. Better be good, these confessions...

I'll keep you posted if it takes too long.

Becky Bloomwood is a very likeable character and many people can relate to her problems.
It’s an entertaining read but it also tells a good story and provides a lesson in the end.
I enjoyed it and will read more of the books by Sophie Kinsella.

This took ages to get to me! I have tonnes of books infront of this, but considering I am last on this list and so you could say I have time to read it thoroughly, thank you all very much!

Journal Entry 25 by JonniC from Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 16, 2010
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! This book was amazing, I couldn't stop reading, I was so into this book I couldn't put it down! It was amazing. I am extremely happy to find out that I'm last on this bookray, and so I can pass this book onto my sister and then my mom, and then we can compare the book to the film (however, I'll need the 2nd book in the series, which I plan to get soon!)

My sister has been desperately trying to rob the book off me and read it herself, but I've prevented her for a while now, and since I've read it, she'll be happy to know that she can finally read it!

Thank you so much for adding me to this bookray, and I very much appreciate it, thanks!
