I love the 'Vampire Kisses' series so I couldn't resist ordering this book. It is manga which is not something I am used to but I really want to give it a go anyway. Looks like a nice easy fun read...maybe I will finish it over the weekend ;)

This was my first 'manga' experience and I really like it. I won't be rushing out to buy more but if the subject matter is interesting enough for me then I would be tempted. What I didn't like about this book in particular was it was too short. It was over way too quickly but at least the cliffhanger will have me looking out for the 2nd part. Vampire Kisses is a series I have been enjoying alot and seeing Raven and everyone come to life in this book was great! If you are a fan it is worth having a look at this. I wonder how long it will take for another in the series to appear. With this book being so short I would expect the second part very soon...otherwise I could see people loosing interest. The behind scenes stuff at the end of the book but I was a nice bonus but it really didn't make up for the shortness of the book...yeah...the shortness did buy me alot and that is why I keep mentioning it ;)

Very cute and fluffy, if you can call a goth girl with a vampire boyfriend that! LOL! I like the artwork, and I'd definitely read the rest if I find them. I know just who I'm going to send it to next! ;)

Oh my gosh, what's this?! Shauney you're such a sweetie-pie! I've read the first two regular books in this series and they were really cute (and now of course I'm thinking I should bump the third one up higher in the old TBR pile)! I've been recommending this series left and right to people looking for young teen paranormals. This will be the first time I've read a manga where I knew the characters and stuff in advance -- bet that makes it more fun!

Journal Entry 6 by Kyrissaean from Littleton, New Hampshire USA on Monday, March 24, 2008
I seem to be in a bit of a reading slump lately. Either that or maybe the last few books I've picked really weren't quite as shiny as they could have been. So last night while looking around for something a little different to break the mood, and debating the merits of one genre over another, I saw this in the pile. Ah-ha! Perfect little mood breaker! Amberkatze has a point about the length -- they could have published Volumes 1 and 2 together without hurting my feelings any. I feel like I just saw the first 15 minutes of a 30 minute show. But otherwise this is super cute! I could put up with only dating at night if I got to date an Alexander. ;) I'd also have been a lot more tempted to do the goth thing as a teen if there had been a place nearby to buy clothes like Raven's! It was a lot of fun to see the characters, and this is the first time I've read a manga that went from the left to the right like a regular western book, which I really prefer. When the book goes the eastern way of right to left, turning the pages is fine but I'm always a bit confused about which frames go in which order. You'd think it would be obvious, but my blonde has to come out somewhere....
