Three of these, the artless and delightful Natasha Rostov, the wordl-weary Prince Andrew Bolkonsky and the idealistic Pierre Bezukhov illustrate Tolstoy's philosophy in this novel os unquestioned mastery.

Esta: "Well, Prince, so Genoa and Lucca are now just family estates of the Buonapartes." foi a frase que me levou a escolher este livro de entre as várias frases da lista da BB virtual do ElHurricane.
Apesar de ter sido uma excelente escolha, não creio que vá ler este livro porque já o li duas vezes (em português e em dois volumes) e não creio que esta edição (em inglês e num só volume - enoooooorme!) me conseguisse convencer a pegar-lhe! ;-)

I brought it with me from the Piscina de Livros at the 1st Portuguese Convention! I confess I wasn't sure about bringing this book, it really is huge... But then I thought hey, what the heck, I heard so much about this book, I'm not going to pass this chance to take it with me :P
