A really lovely (if slightly odd, in the usual Neil Gaiman ways :-)) modern(ish) fairy tale about a town on the boundary between two worlds, and a boy who sets out to win a girl's heart.

It wasn't until I was part way through reading the book that I realised that the film Stardust that I saw an ad for the other day must be based on this book. Suppose I'd better go and watch the film now!
