One of the 1001 books that i will read eventually. About 3 others in front of this one.
Read the first half very quickly but due to the subject matter I thought the last 200 or so pages would never end. Very educational book for me, I learned the term communism at college but had never read anything that explained and showed in this much depth what it meant for a country and the people of that country.
At 650 pages it's probably the longest non-fiction book I've ever read. That's probably why it's taken me nearly a decade to get round to reading it, always something more appealing and smaller to read first. Will hopefully get it travelling soon.
Another 1001 Book complete.
