This book will not impress fantasists that believe in the old un-dead vampire of folklore, or people who like to imagine the romantic idea of the blood drinking seducer. This is a straight to the point book, that brushes away the fantasy element of vampires, it also goes into what is known as ‘psychic vampirism’ which is what he means by the occult truth about vampires. A must read for anyone interested in the occult or vampires, even if you believe in the superhuman vampire it might be good for you in the sense it will show you they don’t really exist.

Caught at the meet up. Couldn't decide if this would make me laugh or terrify me!

This ended up making me laugh. I actually quite liked Konstantinos' writing style. He's quite tongue-in-cheek at times. Very apt too as I've just finished re-reading Dracula for the 100th time and just watched the entire Buffy the Vampire Slayer box-set after never having seen any of it before. So, quite a contrast. I have someone else in mind for this one.
