Since I'm going to be busy with school this year and won't be able to bring all my books with me, I've decided to turn this into a bookring!

The List
1. Moody-Blue - USA
2. BethanieKay - USA - (international)
3. klaradyn - South Africa - (international)
4. iliotropio - Belgium - (international)
5. house-elf - Canada - (near end)
6. babyimran - Malaysia - (prefers Asia/Australia/Europe)<------Book is Traveling Here
7. Withoutwings - USA - (US preferred)
8. freak2006 - USA - (US only)
9. back to literarylover - USA

Just a few bookring guidelines:
-- Journal the book as soon as you receive it, and contact the next person for their mailing address.
-- Take as much time as you need, but try to read within 4-6 weeks so the ring keeps moving along.
-- Take a moment to journal your thoughts on the book when finished. It's interesting to read other's feelings on the book too!

Sending to Moody-Blue in Texas. enjoy!

Journal Entry 4 by Moody-Blue from Montrose, Colorado USA on Tuesday, August 5, 2008
Yay! Arrived today. I flipped it open, read a paragraph, and laughed! I think I'll be setting my current read aside... I'm in the mood for some Sedaris. Thanks LL!

Journal Entry 5 by Moody-Blue from Montrose, Colorado USA on Saturday, August 9, 2008
I'm amazed at how long it takes to slog through some books, but a with a good one like this the pages just melt away! If I'd had any leisure time, I would have greatly enjoyed reading this cover to cover in one sitting. As it was, the short stories were great for stealing away for a few minutes here and there. Good for a guaranteed smile whenever I needed it. I think the vachettes were my favorite!

Passing to my sis when I see her in a few days.

Journal Entry 6 by BethanieKay from Melbourne, Florida USA on Friday, August 15, 2008
My sis gave this to me when I saw her yesterday. I'll read this soon ... but my fiance is visiting from Greece, so it may be a week or so until I can start ;)

thanks!

I guess I'm just not a Sedaris fan ... this is the 2nd book of his I've read, and with the exception of a couple stories, I just didn't think he was funny. I'm glad I got to finally read what everyone was talking about, though, as this is a very popular book. thanks for letting me join!

I've got klaradyn's addy, will send off to her this week.

Journal Entry 10 by klaradyn from Praha, Praha Czech Republic on Monday, September 22, 2008
Enjoyed this one just as much as the three other Sedaris books I've read. I had better pace myself, only two books left!
I especially liked the parts about his "career" in art, and his descriptions of attempting to learn French. Sometimes I wondered to what extent he exaggerates certain things, but then I decided it doesn't matter, because I loved reading it anyway.

Already have the address for the next reader. This will be on the way by the end of the week (26 September at the latest).

Delightfully witty!
Off to babyimran. Happy reding!

Journal Entry 14 by babyimran from Kajang, Sultanate of Selangor (Shah Alam) Malaysia on Saturday, April 11, 2009
The book has arrived a few days ago and its time for me to open it (after reading a thriller).

Apr 23 - his story is similar with John Irving but with his own characteristic. I've just finished the story of the title and it reminds me of the two classes of French I took (in Malaysia). We did not talk about religion but there was a lot about food.

Apr 28 - I am almost finishing the book but I still have not received the next member's postal address. Trying again before moving on to the next member.

Since I have not heard anything on how to close the bookray/ring, I have made this as part of a bookmark exchange with a local crafter. I just hope that she has journaled here.
