This book is going into a round of Surprise BookXcerpts for Romance/chicklit that I'm running so I thought I'd best read it first....& I'm glad I did!

An enjoyable (but perhaps predictable) tale featuring a strong feisty heroine who lives life differently to the majority of women of her day.

When Lucy first meets Rand she makes him a proposistion, which to her embarassment, he turns down. Five years pass before she meets him again, which is when she discovers that the baby she saved from a fire is in fact Rand's daughter...does this bring them together? What do you think!

This arrived as part of a romance bookXcerpting adventure. I expected to get a contemporary romance from that first page I viewed. Surprisingly it's not what I got. But this sounds VERY interesting. Will save this for my trip in May. Thank you Plum_crazy for sending this book. It's very much appreciated.

Somehow this book wasn't what I expected from the first page excerpt. It's a good read, but mostly average, I think. The chemistry between Lucy and Rand didn't light up my heart. There was some salt and pepper missing.

The book has a loose cover now. Its glue wasn't sticky enough, I guess.
