Book Description
Librarian Megan Clark and her reading group steal a page from Christie.

Librarian Megan Clark discovers a series of corpses, making her the prime suspect. To clear her name, she'll need to find the killer who's obviously been boning up on Agatha Christie novels. Could it be a member of her own book club?

When a client is accused of murder, Lara's investigation leads her to the Orkney Islands off the northeast coast of Scotland. There, she is pulled into a centuries-old Viking saga and a troubling quest that could end in danger--and rewrite history.

This is book #5 in the Mystery Reading Group series.

In an effort to pare down the massive TBR pile and be realistic about what I am going to read in the near future, this little book needs to get back on its traveling way!

Someone at the meet-up mentioned the first line game in response to Mom Oyster's opening line of her own personal story, "I almost killed two cops in one night." I picked up this book because mysteries always have great first lines. I think this one will be ideal for the first line game.

I picked this book during the First Line game at the BCinDC holiday gathering yesterday. The first line is: "Sacrificing virgins isn't common practice anymore." I may offer this to my mom since she seems to like mysteries.
