10.11.07 Finished this today and loved it. The narrative is deceptively simple, the plot grips you, the characters are real people. A story about love and commumity.

This is a wonderful read, I even feel a little sad that I have finished reading it! I don't recall seeing the movie but I do remember thinking "what a strange name for a movie", so now that I have read this great book I am eager to see if the movie lives up to the book!Thank you so much starflash for sharing and thank you to FarheenAltaf for posting to me.
Shelly-Sparkles has declined the offer of this book and asks if she can be skipped, I have pmed nawoo82 and will be posting off today.

I actually finished the book more than a week ago, but as I started a new job last week, I didn't get around to journaling it until now.
I loved it! I knew the story, I think I've even seen the movie actually, or at least parts of it, and I remember reading extracts of the book in my English class in highschool.
I think it's a beautiful, touching, moving story. The format of the book is a bit confusing sometimes, the incessant comings and goings in time often lost me; and it seems even the author got confused on the time frame sometimes as I noticed a few mistakes along the way. But despite that, it's still a great and easy read.
Thanks starflash for organising this ray!
I have pekopeko's address so I'll post if off to France tomorrow.

Received the book today ! It only took 5 days to arrive. Great postal service ! Thanks Nawoo82 for sending it.
I'll have to finish what I'm reading and then I'll start this one. I'm very excited as it is the first bookray I join.

Sent the book to Inver this week.
It was a nice read, I can't say I loved it but the story was gripping enough. I should have read it in longer sittings though, because the coming and going in time can be quite confusing when reading just a few pages each time. Next time I'll tell my boss I need some more time off !

Thank you Sophie for the lovely postcard. Lyon looks lovely. And all the stamps on the parcel...lol. I am looking forward to reading this. I am sure I have seen the film many years ago.
Starflash......any preference as to what you would like me to do with the book once finished? I noticed it is a 'bookray'!

I started to read this one and thought it all sounded too familiar. I think I borrowed it from a friend a few years back.
