The Upward Bound/Trio program director from the Creighton University branch of the program has asked me to supply 100 books for children and 100 books for teens at their fair for teen mothers in November. While I have an abundance of adult books, my resources for children and teens is more limited. Therefore, I greatly appreciate the help I'm receiving from other bookcrossers to fulfill their needs.
Additionally, I have been asked to help out with another teen project. A local juvenile justice center, essentially a holding cell for teens, needs books for ages 12-18. The teens come into the system and have nothing to do, sometimes for weeks or months, while waiting to be given foster homes or other arrangements. I'm going to be trying to supply them with a small library of books. If a teen is in the middle of a story, they can take it with them to wherever they are placed.
When books go to these projects, the directors will be informed of all the contributors. Your name will be on that list.
