Journal Entry 1 by LillyAnn from Bremerhaven, Bremen Germany on Thursday, September 13, 2007
The first book of the Joanna Brady series. A cop lies dying beneath the blistering Arizona sun - a local lawman who may well have become the next sheriff of Cochise County. The police brass claim that Andy Brady was dirty, and that his shooting was a suicide attempt. But Joanna Brady, his wife and mother of their nine-years-old daughter, knows a cover-up when she hears one .. and murder when she sees it... A really good series, I read about 6 books of the series a time ago, and thought of starting them over again. Maybe the book deserves even a "9" rate, but I dislike the daugher thing .. (why are children always so annoying in books?)..

Journal Entry 5 by rotewoelfin from Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Thursday, June 19, 2008
Finished the book today. But don't know yet how to rate it... It was a fast reading one for me, but the story itself could have been more... don't know how to put it... more of a criminal story maybe. So it was more the story on Joanna and her feelings... Nevertheless maybe I would like to read the following book to see how the figures develop in the next story :) I'm going to send the book to its next reader as soon as I got the address :)

This was a quick and nice reading and I lost some sleep because I was eager to learn how the story went on. Nevertheless, it was a bit too "American" for me. Things are happening a bit too smoothly and easily for Joanna.
