I really love this series. Annas charakter is so well developed, not to easy, and the outdoor passages are really gorgeous. I own all books of the series, and enjoyed 11 out of 12.

The mailman handed me the parcel a few minutes ago. Wonderful! Thanks to LillyAnn for sending it to me. I'm in the middle of another book for the time being, but I probably will be through with that one tomorrow, so that I can start on Nevada Barr's novel. I'm truly looking forward to reading it.

Wonderful! Anna Pigeon is a unique character, and the story is marvellous. It was difficult to put the book aside. Nevada Barr is a new author for me, and I will definitely try to find more of her novels now. LillyAnn included a list of the other Anna Pigeon novels (thank you!), and it shouldn't be too difficult to get them! This (her first) story was especially interesting to me, since it was about Guadalupe National Park, a place that I have visitted back in 1979 (well, parts of it). A gorgeous landscape.
I will pass the book on to Solingerin as soon as I have her address.

Das Buch liegt schon seit einigen Tagen auf meinem MTBR, sorry. Ein wenig wird es da auch noch liegen bleiben müssen. Ich freue mich aber schon sehr aufs Lesen.

Sorry, englische Bücher dauern bei mir immer etwas länger, weil ich zwischendurch noch anderes lese, sozusagen zur Entspannung.

Das Buch fand ich gut und bin froh, dass ich an dem Ring teilnehmen durfte. Es reist jetzt ganz schnell weiter.

A fine book. Uncommon place, complex character, intriguing story. Maybe a bit too much nature for my taste :-) But it's interesting to learn about the park rangers.

edit 5.3.08: wird am Montag weitergeschickt. Hat leider etwas länger gedauert, weil ich krank war.

Picked it up today :)

At the beginning I had some difficulties getting started with the story... But the longer I read, the more fascinating was the character of Anna and the story itself. I could not imagine the solution until the last few pages :) Although I don't think I'm going to read more of the Pigeon stories in the next few weeks or month - there are lots of books at home waiting... But maybe I'll come back to this series later :)

Ich habe es versucht, ehrlich. Aber ich mußte beim Lesen feststellen, daß mich das Buch doch nicht interessiert. Es reist daher ungelesen weiter.
