6 out of 10

This book was entertaining, but the plots and sub-plots are difficult to keep track of. The title says it all as the whole thing is a deception within a deception surrounded by yet another deception. If you read this one, you need to devote some time to it or have a note pad handy to keep from being confused. The hero of the story is seemingly bullet proof and his entanglement in the deception and intrigue keeps you turning the pages because there is a surprise on each one. Not Ludlum's best work, but still good.
