All books must be prize-winners or have been nominated for a prize or have been written by a prize-winning author. Any genre will do but audio and paperbacks only please to keep costs down.

You can take out as many as you like. Please put the same number of books in as you take out even if they are in a different format. Books should be in good readable condition - no tatty falling apart covers please :). Freebies from newspapers do not count - feel free to add them as extra goodies but they can't be used to replace ones you've taken out ;)

Please journal here when you receive the box with what you take out and what you put in and again when you send it on. Remember that you don't have to keep the box after you've chosen your books.

Remember to make separate journal entries for whatever books you take out and put in!!!

If the next person on the list has not answered your PMs after a few weeks please PM the person on the list after them (and let me know!).

Hope these will be enjoyed by someone!

Finally got to the Post Office this morning to collect this....& I'll try to get it moving again asap.

Journal Entry 5 by wingPlum-crazywing from Brighouse, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Monday, December 10, 2007

This book has not been rated.

I'm taking out...
1...Everyman's Rules for Scientific Living
2...The Harmony Silk Factory
3...The Electric Michelangelo

...they all sound so different to my usual type of reading but that what I love about Bookcrossing it opens up whole new reading worlds!

And to replace them I'm putting in...
1... Fingersmith - Sarah Waters (shortlisted for the Man Booker & the Orange Prize)
2...Master Georgie - Beryl Bainbridge (shortlisted for the 1998 Booker Prize)
3...The Kiln - William McIlvanney (winner of the Saltire Scottish Book of the Year Award)

Now I have a confession to make about The Kiln...it is an ex-library book but is excellent condition -if it wasn't for the withdrawn stamp you would never know!

If Cross-Patch gets back to me in time I can get it on it's way tomorrow, if not I'm not sure when it will be travelling again.

*UPDATE*...posted Thursday 13th December.
