I hade great hope of this book being by Terry Brooks, but I found it quite disappointing...

I'm not a big fantasy reader and this was my first try of Terry Brooks. I quite liked it. There were a few quibbles were certain things seemed too contrived to move the plot along, but overall an enjoyable read.

Found at the Edinburgh Book Crossing Meet Up, Terry Brooks has been recommended to me as an author I should try so as this was the first book in a series I thought I'd give it a go!

This was OK, but I get the feeling that this book was aimed more at the teenage market though. The story continues over a number of other books but I'm not going to go out of my way to read them.
