Sorry guys, I didn't manage to finish it .....
A couple of weeks ago a friend showed me the BookCrossing zone at Surrey University, a metal box outside the University Bookshop (round the back of the Library).
I was in Guildford, passing through the University, so I thought I'd take a look to see what was worth reading.
I read Labyrinth by Kate Mosse a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not as well written though as Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe but still very good.
Kate Mosse has been accused of writing a 'me too' Da Vinci Code, which is a bit unfair as unlike Dan Brown she can actually write.
Kate Mosse now has a new novel out, Sepulchre, which from the blurb on the back sounds very much like a 'me too' Labyrinth.
Kate Mosse (1961- ) is presenter of the BBC Radio 4 Saturday Review and Open Book. She is co-founder and honorary director of the Orange Prize for Fiction, and is co-founder with her husband of the Chichester Writing Festival at West Dean. She lives with her family in West Sussex and Carcassonne (where Labyrinth is set).
Also read
Brida by Paulo Coelho [see BCID 6106140]
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova [see BCID 6226904]
