Book Description When she sees her husband with another woman, Lauren Stillwell's heart nearly stops beating. Her marriage was perfect, she has a great job, she loves her life. But his betrayal turns her into someone she never imagined she could be—a woman lusting for revenge. Determined to even the score, Lauren seeks to have her own affair. It was supposed to be a quickie, but Lauren's night of passion takes a shocking turn when she witnesses an unexpected, unbelievable, and deadly crime. Now her horrifying secret threatens to tear her life apart, pitting her need to uncover the truth against her fear that the truth may be too horrible to bear. And whichever choice she makes may cost her dearly—her job, her marriage…or even her life. Update 2/16/08: Finished reading this today. I thought this was one of Patterson's better thrillers! The story kept me turning the pages. Although I thought some of it was a little far-fetched, I kept wanting to read on and on. Overall, I would highly recommend this one!

05/17/2009 Well, I can just never leave a Patterson book on the shelf so to speak. I read this one in one sitting last evening before bed. It was thrilling! IMHO I think this was one of his best. I loved all of the twists and turns to the main relationship in the story.
Received today from spaceystacey, thank you. I' m just about to finish Patterson's "You've Been Warned" and will make this my next read. I'm a huge Patterson fan and I'm sure I'll enjoy this.
I just love escaping with a good Patterson yarn and this was truly one of his best. A great many twists and turns and I didn't guess any of them. I'm glad to have gotten the opportunity to read this; thank you perryfran. I've been a little disappointed in the last couple of Patterson books I've read but this has redeemed him as a master of suspense in my eyes. I finished this about a 10 days ago but am unable to contact the last in line for the ray. I'd like to see the journal continue so I'll try to find a suitable release.
The winner of the name draw for the RABCK forum post was Bookworm-lady. I've sent a PM for address and this book should be on its continued journey soon.
