I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to journal that this has arrived. It arrived the day before we moved (3 hours away) and I thought I had already journaled it. I have finished reading it. It was very much enjoyed, as all K.R's books are and is ready to go to Mothertoboys shortly. I will PM her for her addy right away. Thank You so much for sharing this with me. :)

This was a good forensic mystery set in Charleston, South Carolina. I liked how Tempe eventually solved the murders by following the smallest detail no matter where it led.

Thanks, JennyC1230... Updated 8/5/08 Once again, another great Temperace Brennan novel. I thought some of it was predictable and you knew what was coming, but it was still a great read. Sending on to southernfryed.

Journal Entry 13 by southernfryed from Lexington, South Carolina USA on Monday, August 11, 2008
This book arrived today:) Thanks for sharing it. About 2 years ago, Reddeerforum started a Kathy Reichs book spiral. The spiral started in the United Kingdom and traveled through Germany and Switzerland before making its way to the US. Some of the books have gotten lost along the way. I plan to read this book and then send it on to others who signed up for the spiral. The following people were after me on the spiral: Adrienne10 (USA) Dopsis (UK) ABrokenStar (UK) The following people were ahead of me on the spiral but missed this book: Morgaine77 (Switzerland) Marko167 (Portugal) Virgulina (Portugal) Aneca (Portugal) 1/24/2010 In this book, Kathy Reichs mentions a Mt. Pleasant restaurant that I had never heard of named The Wreck of the Richard and Charlene. I checked it out on line and it is a real restaurant. I plan to visit The Wreck on my next trip to Charleston:) 1/27/2010 Just finished reading this book. I have to say that Kathy Reichs' writing improves with each book. I had no idea where the case was headed until the last 150 pages or so. She wrapped up nicely without all the unnecessary medical jargon this time. My sister will be reading this one before I pass it on. 5/3/2010 I got this book back from my sister. It is now packaged and ready to mail to adrienne10.

I did finally finish reading this book shortly after I turned grades in for the semester on December 12th. I'm so sorry to have kept this book for so long. I am ready to send it on and am contacting Dopsis for an address right after I write this journal entry. I am rather enjoying these books. The climatical scenes are not quite as violent against Tempe as they were in the earlier books. They are easy reads (despite my length of time to read the book, it was mostly due to my own lack of time) and read quickly. Thanks for continuing to include me, southernfryed.

This book and its companion (Bones To Ashes) just landed through my letterbox - another book off my wishlist, and another to add on to the pile of ideal reads for train and car journeys (eta I do not drive, but my OH does and there's only so much landscape you can digest on a long trip on the motorway). Thanks again for sharing.

Read in the holiday and very quickly too! It is another gripping mystery our Tempe gets involved, and it is not for the fragile nerves! Reading through the JEs I am now feeling quite jealous of those BCers who live in the area described by Kathy Reichs... :) I shall try to pass the book on to another mystery lover, and if she's read it already I will release it somewhere in Europe.
