There is always a problem when major international events (G8 in this case) are woven into the kind of crime fiction written by Rankin as the scaling up loses the focus for which his books are known and the plot then appears to be ludicrous.

Waiting for some random movie to begin I took a look at the book crossing bookshelf of the theatre (haydn kino) and this was the only book that seemed remotely interesting. It was the firts "registered" book I took with me and I´m glad I gave in to my desire for crime fiction. It sat on my shelf for some time but I knew I had to release it so I gave it a try and really liked it! I wouldn`t have bought a book by rankin but are actually quite intrigued with his style if not with the specific plot of the book. I´m sure to check out other Rankin books too, good summer reading. I´ll give it to a friend next.
