The latest Corinna Chapman book - yeah!!!!! The blurb: "When a cut-price franchise bakery opens its doors just down the street from Earthly Delights and crowds flock to purchase the bread, Corinna Chapman is understandably nervous. Meanwhile, the gorgeous Daniel's old friend Georgiana Hope has temporarily set up residence in his house, and it doesn't take Corinna long to work out that she's tall, blonde, gorgeous and up to something. Daniel is making excuses and Corinna is worried about his absences and also the strange outbreak of madness which seems to be centred on Lonsdale Street. Will Corinna win through a maze of health regulations, missing boyfriends, sinister strangers, fraudulent companies and back-alley ambushes? Or will this be the the end for the Earthly Delights Bakery?"

Not as good as the previous books in the series but a nice read for a cold afternoon. The mystery is based on a "strange but true" treasure hunt. The baddies got off lightly in the end and Jason has tried his hand at pastry. Kylie and Goss were given small parts in a TV soap and there are a couple of interesting recipes at the back of the book. I shall copy them out before I release the book.

Journal Entry 5 by luckaye from Logan City, Queensland Australia on Monday, October 08, 2007
Arrived yesterday. I just finished a book so I will get started on this one straight away. Maybe Mr Luckaye will read it too before I sent on. Update: A good book to curl up and read when you don't feel like facing the world - just like yesterday! I enjoyed it Though I kept getting confused with the large cast of characters!

I finished this a few days ago, and forgot to make a journal entry at the time. I also agree that it wasn't as good as previous books in the series, but an enjoyable read nonetheless. Thanks for sharing pinkozcat. I should be able to put it in the post tomorrow.

Journal Entry 11 by Snoozy from Perth, Western Australia Australia on Monday, January 04, 2010
I've read this before and was very pleased to catch it in the wild. Kerry Greenwood is a favourite author of mine, with her great plots, strong characters and huge sense of fun with a nice sexy feel to it. Maybe not as good as Phryne Fisher but still a good read series. I will probably keep it to enjoy again in the future, so I'm sorry to disappoint anyone who was hoping to catch it.
