I keep starting this book and getting side-tracked so am making sure I work my way through it this time. The 'blurb'on the back of the book says - Sam McCready (The Deceiver) is one the the Intelligence Service's most unorthodox and most valued operatives. The end of the cold war has strengthened the power of the Whitehall mandarins, to whom he seems uncontrollable, so Sam is to have his fate decided at a special hearing. As part of the proceedings, 4 of Sam's key operations are reviewed. This book is another world-wide triumph for Frederick Forsyth - a keenly perceptive view of British Intelligence in the eighties.
When you've read the book, please make a note of what you thought of it and where you have left it for someone else to read.
