- Please make a journal entry once you've received the book
- Please put the book at the top of your TBR pile but under other rings/rays that arrived first
- Read the book (take your time and enjoy the book, try to finish it within one month
- When you are close to the end, refer to the journal and PM the next person to get their address
- Once you finish the book, make another journal entry and let us know what you thought
- Please send the book to the next person on the list using surface mail, make release notes to help track
- If you are the last person please release it into the wild or another bookring/ray... Happy Reading!!
Here is the order so far (subject to change)
1. cat207 (Australia, prefer to ship in aus but will ship intl)
2. jubby (Australia)
3. GateGypsy (Canada - will ship international - prefer towards end)--> Book is stalled here!
4. starflash (UK - will ship surface? - prefers towards end)
Will go in tomorrow's mail to jubby.
Now, I do have a few other bookrings in my possession at the moment, but I will try not to be too long with this.
And, I am more then happy to mail this one on to GateGypsy too.
Thank you Cat207 and Chiboiler.
The overall (memorable) feature of this story, is that it reminded me of some of the short stories by Roald Dahl (like 'The Landlady'). The sense of foreboding, and the references to the 'other girls' from 'Memory Lane' had the reader guessing.
This is only the second book of William Trevor's that I've read (I read 'The story of Lucy Gault' when it was nominated for the Booker Prize a few years ago), but I can see that he is exceptionally good at leaving conclusions to the reader. Another feature of both of these books was the relating of vulnerable people in the modern world.
A great story and one that I am pleased to have had the opportunity to read.
I don't want to say anything more about the story so I don't spoil it for anyone else, but an excellent story, cleverly related.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Posted to GateGypsy.
All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy.
It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.
